ATTENTION COVID-19 UPDATE
Due to recent concerns surrounding the rapid spread of COVID-19 we will begin implementing some changes at OAC in order to ensure the safety of both our clients and our staff. Please be patient with us and each other as we all try to navigate through this situation together.
Foremost, to date there have been no reported cases of household pets becoming clinically ill due to COVID-19. At present understanding there is no risk of contracting or spreading this disease to or from your pets. However, as with any surface or object, our pets fur could potentially serve as a vector to transmit virus particles from person to person. For this reason it is important for us all to clearly relay information to each other. Our staff members have been instructed not to come to work should any of them become ill or exposed to someone who is, likewise, we should be informed if you or your pet have been exposed to anyone exhibiting symptoms of respiratory disease.
Beginning Monday March 23, the clinic will remain open to care for our patients. However, the building will be closed to all non-staff members. Upon arriving for your pets appointment please remain in your vehicle and call the front desk from your cell phone. Our staff will meet you at the vehicle to acquire the patient for examination and treatment. Please remain in the parking lot and/or provide us with any and all current phone numbers for drop-offs or more lengthy procedures. Upon examination and treatment the doctors will call you to go over any additional findings prior to a staff member returning the patient back to your vehicle.
If you have medications to pick-up we ask that you call them in ahead of time so that we may have them ready when you arrive. Again, upon arrival please call us from the parking lot and we will deliver your products to you in your vehicle.
We fully understand, and quite truly dislike the impersonality of this system, but the current situation requires such measures to ensure a quick return to normalcy for all of us! As always, please feel free to call us with any concerns you may have.
